There have been drastic changes
in the world from the earlier times with regard to knowledge and awareness.
Now-a-days it is very important for people to be educated to secure for
themselves a desire level of standard of living.
Outbreak of the Industrial Revolution led to
the emergence of many industries. These
industries were growing in size and needed unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled
laborers to perform its activities. These all development led to the formation of
a new class, “middle class” in the social structure of most of the countries. “
Middle class” consists of people depended mostly depended on monthly salary for
their living which they get in turn of using their specialized knowledge and
skills in performing various tasks of the industries.
Most of the economies in the
world are on the path of globalization and this has caused the increase in
emergence of multi-nationals all around the world. Many of the companies face
challenges to find customers for their surplus production. Competition has
increased to great extent and companies compete with one another to find new
customers and markets.
These changes and progress made by
companies, requires people with specialized skills to perform operations of the
company. Candidates are required with masters’ degree level of education and it
will always be in great demand.
So, if any one wants to make
progress in a field in the long-term going for masters degree is very
important. By a Bachelor’s degree, progress can only be made to certain level
but a masters’ degree provides opportunity to specialize in a specific field
which is generally the requirement of most of the companies.
So, it is always better to seek
higher education by going for masters’ level of education. However, one may choose
to work for sometime after completing their Bachelors’ degree and then
undergoing for the masters’ degree. This can be a better option than to
directly go for the masters’ degree.
Working in the real environment is
very different from what we learn in the educational institutions. The main purpose
of the educational institutions is to make students well conversant with the
theoretical concepts and there is hardly any exposure given to the practical training.
So, most of the companies provide training to the new recruits to learn
necessary skills to perform the job. Going for work after bachelors’ degree
will provide them the insight of the areas where they lack and to pursue that
course to further sharpen their skills.
Also, many times it is seen that
people regret their decision in working in a particular field and feel that
they can perform much better if they work in some other field. Working for some
time will provide them the ability to judge their interests and the areas where
in future requirement may come in the companies.
This will also help in saving
funds for the future studies and generating the feeling of independence which
in turn gives self-confidence. Masters’ level is generally costlier than the
Bachelor’s level of education.
Most of the masters’ degree
course requires candidates to appear for the entrance level exams for the
admission. Thus, by working for some years one can get time to prepare well for
the exams and interview.
So, in today’s scenario it is
very important to go for Masters degree, however one may choose to work for
sometime before pursuing it.
