Job Description:
The Sales, Marketing, and Communications (SMAC) practice is seeking an
Associate for its Data Analysis and Tools (DAT) team. The position involves
management of multiple survey and data reporting products/tools and new product
development. Project responsibilities may include data aggregation and
analysis, automated reporting, online survey creation, and management of
small-scale web applications. Key responsibilities of DAT Associates and
Analysts span all phases of the DAT’s work cycle. This includes the design and
development of member reports, tools, and surveys; collection, organization and
analysis of data; automation of procedures and processes; and eventually the
collaboration with CEB programs on a broad range of quantitative initiatives.
These positions offer opportunities for personal growth and achievement and,
over time, provide personal exposure to many different programs across CEB.
DAT Associates/Analysts have many tasks and responsibilities, including:
- Helping to develop key member surveys and diagnostic tools
- Leading the technical production of Web-based surveys using HTML using the
Vovici platform
- Launching member surveys and maintaining the accuracy and validity of the
data
- Analyzing and interpreting data for presentation in charts and high quality
graphics
- Proof reading member-facing reports to ensure integrity of data
- Coordinating with the DAT and program teams in the U.S. to ensure timely
delivery of high quality reporting and services to members
- May include troubleshooting and debugging Excel macros used to generate
analysis and member-facing reports Successful candidates must:
- Have a strong analytic and quantitative skills
- Be quantitatively focused — a quantitatively- or technically-oriented
Bachelors is preferred
- Have expertise in several software applications: Excel (including some
understanding of macros), PowerPoint, and SPSS (or other statistical packages
such as SAS)
- Have strong organizational/time management skills
- Be self motivated/self starters—able to work with little direct supervision,
but able to track and report on work progress managing several long-term
projects when needed
- Possess good upward management skills—able to help their managers prioritize;
proactively identify areas that require focus and bring them to manager’s
attention
- Be results-oriented with an eye toward "getting the details right"
— attention to detail is a must
- Have a deep commitment to service, both in serving internal programs and
external members
- Work well with team members based in U.S.
Ideal candidates will possess one or more of the following:
- Experience programming in VBA and/or HTML and general experience with web
applications.
- Understanding of survey design and/or have previous experience with market
research surveys
- Basic comprehension of database design/maintenance
- Two years work experience at a global company with experience on
cross-geography teams
- Masters Degree in information technology, social sciences, or other
quantitatively-oriented fields

Associate role will be a dynamic position working closely with the Sales,
Member Services, and Product teams to provide members and prospective members
with effective, relevant, and well-presented web content and functionality.
Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To: Ensure CEB’s
online presence remains a leading source of insight and assistance for senior
executives Design, create, and maintain online resource centers, tools
libraries, graphics, and other web-based products and services Work with
research staff to publish online studies and other deliverables Review web site
content for relevance and timeliness, identifying and updating out-of-date
information and adding fresh content; perform quality checks to eliminate
typos, broken links, functionality errors, and poor interface Participate
in/manage ad hoc projects/‘direct-to-web’ deliverables Create, promote, and
provide data from online surveys Connect CEB members to the online
resources they need and support member marketing and retention: Activate online
registration for, and create online promotion of, member events and
teleconferences Help create HTML email campaigns and send to members Design,
create, and maintain pages containing information on membership and services
Measure our progress and successes on the web: Run data for compilation
into web management dashboards and reports Perform ad hoc analyses to inform
our understanding of service utilization and to identify potential service
enhancements Drive the success of CEB India: Conduct web-related
training for CEB India staff, including new hire and function-specific training
Provide support to CEB India staff for web-based tools and web-related
troubleshooting Required skills: Clear and concise oral and
